Alectra Utilities offers net metering under Ontario Regulation 541/05. Credits offset consumption charges at the retail rate and carry forward for up to 12 months before resetting to zero. Ontario homeowners taking the Home Renovation Savings rebate must design for load displacement and are not eligible for net metering.
